PP is designed to spread the benefits of economic immigration to smaller communities by creating a path to permanent residence for skilled foreign workers who want to work and live in one of the participating communities.
- Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot – Smaller Canadian communities supporting their local economy through immigration. Pilot opened to permanent resident applicants in 2019.
- Agri-Food Pilot – Immigrate by working in specific agri-food industries and occupations.
- Atlantic Immigration Pilot– The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP) is a pathway to permanent residence for skilled foreign nationals and international graduates who want to work and live in one of Canada’s four Atlantic Provinces
- Caregiver Pilot -Immigrate by providing care for children, the elderly or those with medical needs, or work as a live-in caregiver
